Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • One or more of the following certifications preferred: ITIL 4.0, Microsoft, Security+, Network+ or CCNA.

Experience / Qualifications
  • 5 years working within Information technology in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have technical experience supporting teams
  • 2 years of healthcare experience preferred

SummaryThe Manager of Technical Services will provide day to day and advanced technical support. This role is responsible for ensuring the stable operations and support of the End User Computing infrastructure (computers, printers, peripherals), IT network services, Audio Video services, Unified Computing Services, Telecommunication services, application integrated services, and medical equipment integrations. This includes organizing the planning, development, installation, configuration, maintenance, support, and optimization of hardware, software, and communication platforms. This role will be a fast-paced, healthcare environment, across multiple clinical and hospital office in several locations.

  • Primary responsibilities include serving as the manager of technical support, managing the work activities of technical personnel assigned to the hospital and coordinating consistent support of technical services and implementation activity within the hospital, within our clinics and within our affiliates.
  • Requires subject matter knowledge across technical applications. This position must stay abreast of latest technical developments to ensure service levels proactively meet or exceed company requirements and service level agreements with key stakeholders and vendors.
  • Assists in resolving highly complex issues regarding technical services, coordinates facility technical projects, assists in developing strategies for training and tools for technical services across the division, and champions standardization, utilization, optimization and use of best practices in technical services.
  • A thorough knowledge and understanding of current and emerging technical services technology.
  • Mature understanding of technical support processes and workflow.
  • Participates in resource planning and allocates resources to meet goals of the technical services area, IT goals and business priorities.
  • Understands pertinent JCAHO, MQSA, HIPAA and ACR guidelines.
  • Strong analytical skills and detailed organizational skills.
  • Responsible for personnel management, performance reviews, competency development, and coaching of facility technical services resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify needs, manage resources, and multi-task.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Position requires strong people management skills, personal drive, and the ability to see strategy through to execution in a matrix reporting environment. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills are required.
  • Maintains strong relationships with technical support team and Directors of Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Clinical Applications and Service Delivery.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with business operations, partners, and vendors.
  • Organizes, plans, and assigns work, and monitors the completion.
  • Participates in the development of system technical standards, policies, and procedures as appropriate.
  • Manages assignments, configurations and workflows in the IT standard ITSM platform (i.e. ServiceNow, Remedy)
  • Ensures that the design and use of technical services adhere to established company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Establishes and manages internal service level agreements and ensures external service level agreements with vendors are met.
  • Assists the IT leaders in the development of the budget and develops project cost estimates for the company.
  • Ensures that service resources are assigned for the timely resolution of technical services incidents and requests.
  • Creates an environment that encourages information sharing, team-based resolutions, cross-training, and process improvement within the area and across organizational boundaries.
  • Promotes system security and patient confidentiality and helps ensure compliance. Participates in activities to improve departmental and organizational performance.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with outside vendors of IT products, professional organizations, contract employees, co-ops, external auditors, and consultants.
