QA Engineer

TEKsystems is seeking a Senior QA Engineer who will be accountable for testing and supporting the ongoing improvement of Infrastructure delivery management capabilities for one of our customers. As an Infrastructure QA Automation Engineer, they will work to rapidly and effectively to develop solutions through code that add real value for the organization. This position will focus on QA testing of internal tools related to our continuous integration infrastructure in support of our development team.Top Skills Details1). 3-5 years of Manual QA/functional testing experience. This person should be able to identify not only where a bug fails but why it fails.2) They will need to have some idea of infrastructure knowledge of hosts, deploying servers and what is required to deploy environments from an infrastructure perspective. Reason being is that they will be testing a system that does this.3). Any python experience would be great since this is the main language that the application is built on but Java is also ok for that as well.ResponsibilitiesDesign effective component, system, functional, application and enterprise level test automationIdentify dependencies and risks, and define the overall strategy for testing complex systems or applicationsParticipate in all aspects of a full life cycle development methodology and related quality concepts and processesPerform troubleshooting software / hardware configuration problemsBuild and maintain the test automation framework and test scripts that include establishing repeatable and automated proceduresAnalyze, troubleshoot and automate systems at the application, database and network levelSupport manual QA testing efforts in conversion of manual test cases into automated oneEnsure high level of software is delivered in each releaseKnowledge and ExperienceBachelor's degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Finance or Mathematics; or five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience4+ years of experience in enterprise application testing (test case development and execution)4+ years of experience in the software development life cyclePrefer at least 4+ years of experience working in UNIX/Linux and SQL/Oracle environmentsProgramming experience using python or related languageA proven ability to deliver high quality, working test automationExperience with interacting and coding against APIsStrong background in functional testing with the ability to design and develop comprehensive automated test strategy and test casesStrong background in building automated testing architectures / frameworksMust be results-oriented, self-motivated and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentAble to define and refine test processes and methods that deliver on the business demandsStrong problem-solving, technical, and troubleshooting skillsStrong communication skillsStrong organizational skills and decision-making abilityExtensive knowledge of testing process, testing methodology analysis and defect reporting toolsTop-tier analytics and problem solvingDetail oriented; project management and time management skillsAbout TEKsystems:We're partners in transformation.
