SUMMARY Maintains high availability for IT infrastructure related systems with a focus on automating Cloud systems installation and management. Responsible for implementing security and best practices, while maximizing business value with Cloud services. Supports and troubleshoots the IT infrastructure environment both on premise and in the Cloud. Must have a strong knowledge of core networking protocols, devices, and Microsoft operating systems. Performs regular maintenance and updates on networking devices and Cloud infrastructure ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Identifies and implements solutions for high availability and monitors network for security events Supports AWS landing zones to include VPCs, account structures, segmentation and more with Cloud Formation Templates (CFTs) Supports Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, proxies, Application and Network Load Balancers (ALB/NLB), IDS/IPS, WAFs, AWS Transit Gateway routing and several AWS services Follows and revises, as needed, IT policies and procedures and ensures compliance Continuously learns new AWS services and features to continuously improve security, availability, and resiliency, while reducing costs Supports end users with VPN connectivity and working remotely Ensures systems are compliant with standards Continuously keeps the organization in line with industry best practices Works with DevSecOps team to deliver infrastructure as code Monitors and configures LAN/WAN equipment and associated systems for the organization's office, development environments and Cloud environments Monitors system availability and security at the network and operating system level, reporting breaches of security and anomalies to management Supports InfoSec with researching and patching network vulnerabilities Provisions user accounts, permissions, and systems consistent with thepolicies and procedures Maintain network engineering diagrams Monitor network resource utilization and trends Work within established configuration and change control management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes mode to network infrastructure Has a strong working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Active Directory Supports DNS for Organization Supports IT infrastructure to ensure it complies with standards and best practices Provides support for the delivery of Ops & Tech technology delivery process and initiatives Actively monitors, troubleshoots, and repairs failures of the network in a timely manner Provides 24x7 on-call support on a rotational basis EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in computer science or related studies with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a networking role maintaining computer hardware/network support. Minimum of two years of experience in a virtual environment supporting and implementing virtual servers and services. Experience in deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS. Experience with remote connectivity, VPN, L3 switching, Load Balancer, firewall security, internal/external DNS, and SMTP. Must have skills working with Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012/2016 operating systems. Experience with Windows 2012/2016 Active Directory required. AWS Cloud Certification a plus. Must have the ability to write detailed polices, reports, procedures, training instructions, and document system requirements. Must have the ability to work independently and must possess strong communication skills, teamwork skills, and a strong attention to detail. Desired certifications and skills: AWS Certified Practitioner, Cisco CCNA, Palo Alto, Juniper and Cisco core switching technologies
