RNB State Bank/Front Range State Bank is looking for an experienced Loan Officer to join our team!

The Loan Officer responsible for extending of credit to consumer, agricultural, commercial loan, real estate loan customers by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Lending Duties

  • Possess strong new business development skills and expand customer base through marketing, networking and sales calling. Solicits the business of non-borrowing customers as well as loan customers. Develop a complete knowledge of all bank products and services to generate credit, deposit and fee business.
  • Interview loan applicant, collect and analyze financial data to determine the general creditworthiness of the prospect and identify unmet financial needs that that prospect might have which can be met by the bank.
  • Collaborate in the completion of a loan package, submit to loan committee for approval when appropriate, and facilitate negotiation of loan structure with applicant, including interest rate, fees, loan repayment terms and other credit terms.
  • Develop a complete knowledge of all bank products and services with an emphasis on loan programs, loan policies, forms and guidelines.
  • Make credit decisions within range of authority and policies.
  • Maintain current awareness of agricultural and business economy to accurately determine valuations in support of loans.
  • Conduct field inspections of agricultural and business operations at regular intervals to analyze use of land, labor, management, and capital, to determine condition and marketability of collateral, all to ensure that loans remain properly secured.
  • Conduct timely loan closings, including the review of loan documents, repayment schedules, insurance and lien holder requirements and cross-selling of bank products and services.
  • Serve as a voting member of Loan Committee who evaluates loan requests. Present information to Loan Committee when credit requests are above range of authority and policies also for informational purposes.
  • Actively pursues collection of delinquent accounts and resolution of problem credits.
  • Ensure the protection of the Bank’s interest in matters of adequate documentation and adherence to Bank loan policy and the various laws and regulations applicable to credit.
  • Adhere to applicable Federal and State banking laws and regulations.
  • Promote the bank when at all possible: Through civic organizations, professional associations and general community involvement to enhance Bank’s visibility, image and reputation.

Nonessential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve daily customer overdrafts.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A) from four year college or university; or at least three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.

Math Ability:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have general computer knowledge.

Certificates and Licenses:

NMLS preferred.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
