Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) serving as the principal Strategic Planning Officer to plan, develop, and monitor implementation of plans, policies, and procedures for Garrison to assist with organization improvements; 2) providing means of measuring process improvements; 3) achieving quantum improvements in organization efficiency and effectiveness; 4) conducting management analysis reviews which influence policy decision; This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:Administration and ManagementManaging Human ResourcesOrganizational Performance AnalysisPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). This is a Term position NOT TO EXCEED (NTE) 4 years and may be extended up to a total of eight years. This position is a TERM position. It is a time limited position and may be extended up to a maximum of eight years total. This position may be converted to a permanent, career or career-conditional appointment without further competition as long as all requirements are met. To be eligible for conversion, employee must complete at least 2 years of current continuous service under a term appointment in the competitive service AND employee must have a current performance rating under such term appointment of at least fully successful or equivalent. This position may be filled as a Temporary Promotion or a Temporary Reassignment and may be extended for current Department of Army employees.
