Overnight Maintenance & Floor Technician

Purpose: The Wax Crew works overnight hours to assist in maintaining Dierbergs' position as a market leader by providing a neat, clean environment by stripping and waxing the floors and completing other deep cleaning as required. Job Functions:
- Provide "Extra Step" customer service to every customer
- Safely and efficiently operate equipment such as scrubber, buffer, trash compactor
- Performs minor repairs using hand tools and routine replacements, such as changing light bulbs
- Cleans aisles, offices, and restrooms using company approved cleaning supplies
- Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following OSHA regulations
- Respond quickly to intercom requests for maintenance help
- Complete wet and dry cleanups
- Select proper cleaning solutions for various surfaces
- Work independently
- Work actions require standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and squatting
- Hang banners and promotional items that require use of ladder
- Lift up to 25 lbs.
- Maneuver and tip trash cart with loads weighing up to 200 lbs.
- Conform to Dierbergs dress code, appearance, and personal hygiene standards
- Be flexible in scheduling (including weekends and holidays)
- Maintain prompt, regular, and dependable attendance as scheduled
- Must be able to work overnight hours
- Provide friendly "Extra Step" service to our customers
- Read basic information (ex: chemical names and product labels)
- Work independently
