We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support the DTRA ITSS II contract at Fort Belvoir.JOB SUMMARY: The engineer has the responsibility to design and build out technological solutions to support DTRA's in house application availability and external reachability requirement. The Engineer will work directly with customers to determine requirements for site-to-site redundancy and build out solutions to account for these needs, including failover automation, notification, adequate sizing of real server pools, etc.Years of Experience/Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a relateddiscipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 7 years of professionalexperience; or years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.Security Clearance: Adjudicated Secret; Top Secret preferredJob Description:This position is in a fast paced operations and development lab environment supporting theResearch and Development community. The candidate will provide ConfigurationManagement and Systems Engineering expertise and to customers and staff. Candidatesshould be experienced with Configuration Management tools, Linux and Windowsoperating systems and virtualization technologies. Expect to interact with the team,customers, Government COR and Government PM and will play a key role in theConfiguration Management processes providing process management, tool installation,configuration and management and advisory expertise. Candidate must be familiar withDoD IA requirements (STIGs, vulnerability scanning—ACAS, Sonarqube (or like products)).Duties may include: Installation and configuration of operating systems such as Linux and Windows Installation and configuration of CM Tools such as Gitlab, Jira, IBM Jazz, Redmine Creation of scripts to support the management of systems and tools Management of CM processes to ensure CM accountability Management of CM artifacts Collection and analysis of CM Metrics Baseline management, ensuring accountability for products and versionsRequired Skills: Red Hat and Windows Server Engineering Scripting experience (ex: Powershell, Bash, AWX, Ansible) Configuration Management tools (ex: Gitlab, Atlassian, AWX) Windows 2012, 2016 and Windows 10 EngineeringWORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCEMinimum of a Secret ClearanceOTHER DUTIESPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
