About the Role:

To direct the operations of a small to medium sized ($10-$25 million in assets) remote bank facility, ensuring the branch meets organizational financial, service, and growth plans. Ensures customers are promptly and professionally served. Trains, directs, and supervises branch staff. Accountable for maximizing revenues, sales, customer satisfaction, and minimizing operational losses as well as deepening existing relationships and minimizing customer attrition. Responsible for successful implementation of promotional campaigns and product initiatives at the branch level. Incumbents are either sales (with business development goals) or service focused.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage direct reports to maxamize productivity, efficiency, and the potential of the human assests of the company, including: hiring, directing job assignments, monitoring stass performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies, and work rules. Appraise performance and provide recomendations for staff compensation, promotion, and termination, as appropriate. Ensures branch security in accordance with established policies.
  • Monitors branch lending results relative to established objectives and insures that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
  • Maintains communications with division; prepares and submits standard reports; attends scheduled management meetings.
  • Represents the branch as appropriate in its relationships with customers and business, community, and civic organizations, as well as suppliers, other financial insitutions, and other similar groups.
  • Controls past due and charged off accounts for the branch. Prepare month-end management reports which apprise executive management of the status of branch activities.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assests Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.

About You:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Eight to ten years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
  • A college degree preffered or substitution of related experience acceptable.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

  • A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising other on matters of significance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

The employee may also be required to: Kneel (Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees), crouch (Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine), push (Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward), pull (Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion).

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Light work. The employee is constantly required to stand and walk. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.

TRAVEL: Must be capable of up to 10% travel (e.g. 2 days/month) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job, and the employee must have the ability to drive and have proper licensing.
