Position SummaryWe are looking for a passionate and dynamic Assistant Site Operations Manager to provide operations leadership experience to service and oversee an account staff in Oberlin, OH. The role functions will be responsible for deploying strategies to maintain a strong customer relationship and increase associate retention by creating a highly engaged workforce with a culture focused on teamwork and safety. This position will be responsible for the nighttime management, customer engagement, and driving our special sales within the account while driving safety improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drives Leadership Engagement Growth and Safety Enterprise strategy to leadership and associates
  • Focuses on engaged leadership to reduce turnover and creating raving fans
  • Manages site supervisors at customer site to ensure customer expectations and agreed upon KPIs are met
  • On boards and ensures new associates are welcomed and engaged in their first week and receive adequate training
  • Hires, trains, develops, and appraises staff effectively. Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Consults with human resources as appropriate
  • Advises Account Manager on labor issues including safety, security, employee relations, scheduling, training, grievances, etc. Ensures supervisors are adhering to company policy and administering practices in fair and equitable manner
  • Spearheads the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes
  • Partners with internal stakeholders to identify business opportunities and solutions
  • Ensures standards for service quality, equipment, and performance are maintained and cost-effective resources are used to maximize service standards. Ensures fixed assets are preserved. Initiates recommendations on purchases of new equipment and improvements to scope of work
  • Keeps safety a top priority: Provides near miss reporting and drives process improvements by identifying near misses and completing safety audits
  • Supports responsible budget and controls expenses effectively
  • Keeps up to date on information and technology affecting functional area(s) to increase innovation and ensure compliance
  • This position will require daily review of site performance to management and of prior days, operational issues to resolve the problems communicate and coordinate with other managers to correct issues or ensure compliance with current procedures.
  • Inform management of any staffing issue that will create a client service shortfall plan and implement corrective action as required. Ensure that all performance evaluations, separation notices and other Human Resources paperwork are completed and returned to Human Resources on a timely basis.

Qualifications
  • Facility service, janitorial or similar service-based/multi-site related experience preferred
  • Efficient use of Microsoft Office and familiarity with using work order management systems

Hours
  • Monday-Friday nights, flexible for alternate hours as needed (weekends for emergencies)

Supervisory Responsibility
  • Provides direct leadership to a team of general cleaners and supervisors
