Job DescriptionAnalyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.As a member of the software engineering division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Design and develop scalable and high quality applications using Javascript, HTML5,

Create technical documentation and unit testing for software you develop.

Assist with customer support as required

Work with teams in multiple continents in building a world class product.

Work in Software Development using Agile Software Development Methodology

Work in Scrum Teams

Qualifications and SkillsExpert command of Python and some kind of ORM (preferably django) used in conjunction with an RDBMS (preferably Oracle) is necessary

Comfortable with a Linux-like command line environment.

Experience with object oriented design and development

Good oral and written communication skills in English

Experience with Javascript frameworks such as Dojo / React / JET would be a big plus

Familiarity with using REST APIs to communicate with the back end application would be a plus

Experience with any other programming language / enterprise application development is a plus

Candidates must be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced release cycle along with a short learning curve

Candidates must be willing to be part of the complete life cycle which includes development, maintenance and customer support

Exposure/Experience to agile development processes and tools is a plus

Experience in the supply chain domain, in particular Warehouse Management Systems, would be a plus

A minimum of 5+ years of experience with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science is preferred. Other bachelor's or Master’s technical degree plus demonstrated software development skills will also be considered
