STAFF REGISTERED NURSE PROGRESSIVE CARE UNIT

POSITION DESCRIPTION The Progressive Care Unit serves as a place for the monitoring and care of patients with moderate and potentially severe physiologic instability, requiring technical support. The unit is reserved for those patients requiring less care than standard intensive care but more care than what is available on the Acute Med-Surg floor. The nurse ratio to achieve this level of care is 3-4:1. Medical conditions of patients in the unit: Cardiac, Pulmonary, GI disorders and Endocrine, Drug Overdose and miscellaneous.POSITION REQUIREMENTS Qualified candidates must possess a current Georgia RN license. 2 years critical care, PCU, IMCU, or telemetry experience preferred. Current BLS and ACLS certifications are needed.
