Job Responsibilities
Under general supervision of the Project Manager, perform carpentry work in the design, construction, repair, and maintenance of structures and related physical facilities.
Capable of reading and understanding construction blueprints and specifications
Able to measure accurately and calculate dimensions
Ability to design, build, install and repair structural woodwork, flooring, ceilings and cabinetry
Possess skills in exterior and interior finish work, including ability to use specific tools and equipment
Competent in all phases of residential construction
Keep vehicle well maintained and fully stocked and organized with tools and supplies to do any job from demolition to finish work at all times
Performs all advanced carpentry duties
Capable of doing takeoffs
Responsible for all quality and efficiency
Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
2-5 years journey-level experience working as a carpenter in a residential setting
5+ years of residential building experience
5+ years of residential building experience
Understanding of property services industry preferred

In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, tools/equipment and OSHA guidelines
Understanding of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and remodeling skills
Able to measure accurately and calculate dimensions as well as read blueprints, drawings and plans
Knowledgeable of policies relating to safety, quality control and cost control
Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of projects
Problem-solving abilities
Tools & Equipment Used
Standard Tools (tool bag, circular saw, reciprocating saw, step ladder)
We provide nailers, extension ladders, chop saws, hammer drills and other specialty tools needed
Physical Requirements / Working Environment
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Ability to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs for extended periods of time
Ability to load/unload 75 lbs for a short period of time
Maintain valid driver’s license and motor vehicle insurability
Ability to safely climb ladders and withstand heights of a 2-story building
Ability to lift heavy objects and carry them limited distances
Adequate transportation to be supplied by the employee
Ability to independently carry all required tools, equipment, and materials
