Job Description
SummaryThe House person at the Residences at The Little Nell will clean and maintain public areas. Essential Job Functions Start the daily assignments by following the structure. Check meeting rooms and clean as needed. Continue to clean the lobby bathrooms, sweep and mop. Check the upper and lower lobbies clean as needed, keep the cushions neat, make sure that lampshades and art on the walls are straight, Replenish and organize the magazines. Report and/or replace all burnt light bulbs in these areas. These areas need frequent attention and must be cleaned with the proper chemicals per housekeeping instructions. Clean exit doors; interior and exterior. Clean guest elevators, check between doors and frames. Clean the employee lockers and locker room. Assist the department with guests’ special request: rollaway bed, baby crib, shoeshine etc. Stock all products relative to position to their proper levels. Write and or report all maintenance requests and mechanical deficiencies Sweep the pool and Jacuzzi areas, as well as the garden around the patio. Deliver ice to the hotel rooms. Additional Job Functions Make manager aware of guest’s comments and complaints. Report to work in a neatly groomed and acceptable manner as outlined in the employee handbook. Report to shift on time. Comply with all policies and procedures for the Housekeeping Department, The Residences at The Little Nell, and Aspen Skiing Company. Is familiar with Hotel fire and safety procedures. Assist in emergency and security procedures as directed by management Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist other departments as business volumes and staff levels demand. Has friendly and polite attitude towards guest and co-workers. Must adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, attend all schedule meetings and perform other tasks asked by management. Ability to work 35 / 40 hours per week, weekend and holidays. Must be detail oriented and like to clean.Qualifications
Previous experience preferred, especially with Janitorial equipment and chemicals. Must be able to read and write. Basic English preferred. Luxury hotel experience.
