Primary Responsibilities Are As Follows:

Use Super Business Practices by achieving standards as provided by your supervisors, the owner of the motel, and its franchiser, Super 8 Motels, Inc. and performing tasks that lead to profitability.

Contribute to the long term success of this and all Super 8 Motels by performing tasks that lead to profitability.

Sell clean product and friendly service to guests.

Other Responsibilities and Job Duties Are As Follows:

Report to work on time, well groomed, in uniform, with name tag, wearing a smile and ready to work.

Provide assistance and courtesy to guests and staff, reinforcing Super 8 Motel's legacy of Clean & Friendly.

Greet guests with a sincere smile and greeting and maintain a homeaway from home atmosphere.

Keep noise to minimum throughout the motel .

Observe practices that ensure guest privacy.

Safety

Observe strictly all safety and security policies or practices that impact the welfare of all persons and the condition of the motel facility and ask questions when in doubt about a policy or practice.

Observe strictly the motel's key control procedures.

Remedy or report safety or security hazards when observed and report suspicious activity to the supervisor.

Reinforce guests' sense of safety by performing tasks in a confident and competent manner.

General

Be responsible for the condition and inventory of all supplies and equipment in the lobby and at the front desk.

Sell rooms to guests at appropriate rates and process reservations

Greet and interact with guests via the motel switchboard.

Keep records of guest financial activity, including registration, departures, room and telephone charges.

Prepare and present coffee and breakfast items for guests consumption.

Perform job duties efficiently and within labor guidelines as provided by your supervisor.

Report and document items left behind by departing guests.

Transport baggage for guests on occasion.

Prepare the Motel for Guest Use, Including But Not Limited To

Perform checkin and checkout functions with courtesy, speed and accuracy.

Maintain accountability for paperwork, cash bank, receipts, deposits, credit card transactions legibly and accurately and limit access to guest and authorized persons only.

Inventory and secure guest room and common area access keys.

Operate the switchboard, to include answering, transferring, recording delivering all calls or messages.

Record business related events as directed in a Communication Log.

Be aware of and prepared to implement, emergency procedures

Prepare various reports, marketing and sales material, etc.

Offer wake calls and directions to guests along with information on local attractions and businesses.

Prepare the Motel for Guest Use, Including But Not Limited To (continued)

Assist guests to find accommodations elsewhere when appropriate.

Demonstrate knowledge of room rates and revenue maximizing strategies such as upselling, room features and amenities selling, asking for the sale, etc.

Clean interior and exterior common areas, ashtrays, vending machines, wash windows, and pick up trash.

Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as touchup painting, replace light bulbs, tightening toilet seats, electrical face plates, door knobs, etc. and report and document other maintenance and safety concerns.

Clean and prepare cribs and rollaway beds for storage or use.

Vacuum or sweep hallways, stairways, etc. as directed.

Auditing

Balance each clerk's shift reports and/or deposits.

Balance guest, city, and advance ledgers.

Verify accuracy, completeness and legibility of accounting, reservations and guest service records.

Prepare credit card and/or cash deposits
