PC Technician

The PC Technician Role is a long-term contract / temporary opportunity and will be located in the West Greenwich, Rhode Island region.Responsibilities- Communicate with ticket submitters effectively and on a regular basis- Own and complete technology implementation projects- Install, troubleshoot and repair printers- Take down, pack, transport and set up/install on site- Arrange for repairs through the appropriate vendors- Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and refurbish PCs, laptops, monitors, server, and other computer hardware- Own imaging and preparation of new computers- Record daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions or installation activities- Break down, box and ship old equipment- Complete PC-to-PC data transfers and troubleshoot software/hardware and break/fix- Ensure sound electronic data records by adhering to company quality standards- Help test functionality and support end users- Manage equipment inventory, collaborating on purchases as needed Requirements - Knowledgeable of network design and implementation strategies- Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds- Detailed and have the ability work independently- Eager problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity- Solid understanding of Computer Imaging- Desktop Imaging experience preferred- A CompTIA A+ certification is a requisite for the position- 2+ years of experience with PC and Mac hardware and software, and an understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN- Show the ability to adapt and learn new techniques and skill sets when required Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
