HeidelbergCement employs 57,000 people at more than 3,000 locations in more than 50 countries.Equal Opportunity Employer – Minority / Female / Veteran / DisabledSUMMARY STATEMENT AND POSITION MISSIONUnder the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, this hourly position will function as a part of a team and support the maintenance and operating uptime requirements of the plant. This position’s primary objectives are to repair and maintain the plant and to meet cost-effectively the operating requirements of the plant. This position is located in Speed, IN.REGULAR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Use shop equipment to include lathes, end millers, and shapers.

Machine fabricate parts.

Inspect, remove, replace drive components (bearings, couplings, sheaves, reducers, gearboxes).

Inspect, remove, replace pumps, compressors, valves, etc.

Inspect, remove, repair, replace conveyor systems, screws, air slides, belts, elevators, pneumatic systems, chains, etc.

Rigging.

Maintain/repair dust collector systems.

Rebuild equipment (compressors, gearing carriers, and housings, coal mill assemblies, reducers, etc.).

Align equipment.

Welding and cutting.

Adjust and set bearings.

All aspects of millwright duties.

System troubleshooting.

Maintain/repair pipework on all systems and site service infrastructure.

Lubricate equipment as required.

Physical RequirementsPosition requires lifting, carrying, standing, walking.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent

5 years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, the potential of rotating 12-hour shifts

Must be able to work overtime.
