- Maintain ORACLE Cloud infrastructure
- PL/SQL PROFICIENCY: You'll design, develop, and implement custom solutions for the University including planning, analysis, design, data modeling, coding, implementation, testing, training, documentation and maintenance all according to established standards and industry best practices.
- COMMUNICATION & RELATIONSHIPS: You'll represent the University and Information Technology in a professional manner at all times. This includes serving as the lead technical liaison for customers, vendors and sometimes co-workers.
- SOLUTIONS. SOLUTIONS: From start to finish, you are involved in daily operations. In any given day, you could be approving coding designs, creating and evaluating rock solid test plans, conducting peer code review sessions, participating in data architecture design, or training customers. And, you'll likely be writing code to help our customers serve their customers.
- SOFTWARE EVALUATION: Acting as a consultant to campus, you'll get into the technical details of evaluating new software applications. You'll answer questions and coordinate the technical guidance and training for application users, oversee consistency with design documentation, and participate in the development of system and programming standards.
- APPLICATION SUPPORT: As a matter of regular practice, you'll support campus applications, including: Banner, Cognos, Degree Works, Blackboard, and others.
- PROJECT TEAM MEMBER: You'll be assigned to one or more active projects at any given time. Participating as a Core Team member, you'll collaborate with the project leader to develop work plans and time schedules for projects including outlining phases, identifying subject matter experts, and leading integration and user acceptance testing efforts.

- Bachelor's degree in applicable field.
- 5+ years of experience supporting an Oracle database environment and related tools
- 5+ years of experience conducting databases tuning, maintaining security, conducting backups, and optimizing Oracle banner technical environments
- Experience serving as a leader and Oracle banner expert within the IT department at a college or university
- Through understanding of the technical architecture of the Ellucian Banner software suite, including the latest release – Banner 9
- Experience installing and configuring Banner 9 and all related tools and products
- Demonstrates experience supporting the integration and maintenance of third-party applications that integrate with the Banner ERP, Examples include Kronos and Moodle
- Experience with tools such as Oracle Cloud services, Ellucian Solution Manager (ESM), banner 9 admin Pages and Self-Service, Ellucian Ethos Identity and Integration services
- Ability to quickly and accurately troubleshoot database issues and offer effective solutions
- A demonstrated understanding of application single-on for the Banner 9 release
- Ability to manage multiple complex and time sensitive projects simultaneously
