Desktop Support Analyst

Description Robert Half is looking for a Desktop Support Technician with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users in an understandable and concise format to support the work of a company in the IT Services field. This Desktop Support Technician role is best suited for problem solvers who prefer to work in a challenging and positive environment. Located in the Madison, Wisconsin, area, this Desktop Support Analyst role is short-term contract to hire.Your responsibilities in this role- Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities- Resolve computer problems, and give guidance on appropriate action/solutions- Match hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors- Be in contact regularly and effectively with ticket submitters- Maintain, analyze, and fix computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals- Deliver computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures- Provide support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems Requirements - Computer Hardware experience preferred- Deep understanding of Active Directory- Experience with VMware- Knowledge of PC desktop/workstations- Microsoft Office 365 experience desired- 1+ years of desktop support or other related experience- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
