Education Coordinator/Surgical Tech Instructor

Medical training facility in Braselton, is seeking Full Time/Education Coordinator/Adjunct Surgical Technology Instructor. Our faculty member will provide theory and practical instruction to students who desire to be employed in the profession of Surgical Technology and Sterile Processing. This faculty member will also supervise the surgical tech program including working with management, setting up clinicals for students, etc.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities include:

· Demonstrates the use of appropriate teaching techniques, testing, and grading procedures, to include proper maintenance appropriate record-keeping.

· Must demonstrate knowledge of current procedures in the Surgical Technology field and demonstrate the effective use of oral and written communication skills.

· Follows approved course syllabus. (Lesson plans are complete)

· Monitors students' use of supplies, materials, and equipment, and ensures safety and security requirements are met.

· Counsels students and maintains appropriate advisement records on each student.

Qualifications

· Must be a current Certified Surgical Technologist through preferably NCCT or NBSTSA.

· Two years' work experience in the field within the past five years as a surgical technologist or as an instructor.

· Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Must possess excellent customer service skills to work professionally with students, and other faculty/employees

Salary commensurate with education and work experience.
