Summary:
As a Data Center Technician, you are a primary resolver for your support team, and are skilled at troubleshooting one or more operating systems. You are able to troubleshoot and solve all but the most complex infrastructure issues. Issues are escalated to the appropriate resolver groups when necessary. You know how to innovate and make decisions on your own, but also know how to take direction when it is given, paying attention to all details involved.
Responsibilities:
Server/Network/rPDU device rack, stack and cable incl. Cable Management
Rack/MOR Cabling - General supervised Deployment support
Decommission IT equipment (server and network under MSFT supervision), DBD removal only (does not perform any scanning)
Perform Troubleshooting and swap out failed components
Installation of software and firmware updates.
Receive logical and physical hardware into system
Scope, test, QC, and troubleshoot power, cable connections
Physical audits of datacenter assets
Basic Server (Discrete/Rack-based) repair following documented procedures
Physically assist in moving and racking equipment
Maintain data center facilities removing debris and empty boxes once no longer needed
Hard drive shredding
Moving Locked DBD Bins to shred area
Audit and inventory management support & spine clean up
Physical audit of drinks/stationary on campus and reorder as necessary through CBRE/Staples
Perform rack movement
