Our high caliber engineering team is already making their mark by developing on a variety of current platforms/technologies - Java, MEAN, LAMP, Amazon AWS/EC2, Content Management and Publishing, Vertical and Enterprise Search, Multimedia, Blog, Web Analytics and SEO. Soon all of the services will be available on mobile smartphones, iOS and Android tablet devices, followed by implementation of a highly sophisticated and scalable SaaS platform.We are looking for a UX Researcher to join our product team and help us continue to set the design vision for business applications used by Deloitte Human Capital clients and practitioners. This role will participate in key solutions within an existing product line and help develop new products. This person will be expected to work closely with asset managers, UX and UI design peers, and engineering teams. This role requires a self-starter, with strong communication skills, who enjoys collaboration across disciplines and who is passionate about communicating the user's voice and incorporating it throughout the product design process.Work You'll Do:Define and deliver research and testing plans across multiple workstreams, including goals of the research, timelines, participant segment, and core activities to perform

Help establish and communicate design best practices utilized by the team

Perform competitive analysis to help set benchmarks and gain a view

Execute on research plans, performing a variety of quantitative and qualitative activities including (but not limited too) interviews, surveys, moderated and unmoderated user tests, card sorts, and focus groups

Work with UX designers to translate findings into lo-fidelity designs of potential solutions

Create and deliver a variety of user centered deliverables such as user personas, user journeys, empathy and affinity maps

Moderate and facilitate qualitative activities such as stakeholder interviews, 1:1 user tests

Define research best practices, advocating for efficient processes to help us with the capture and analysis of information

Draft screeners and scripts so the ideal participants are included in the studies

Prepare and present research finding reports to relevant stakeholders, focusing on actionable takeaways to help drive next steps and roadmap considerations

Represent the voice of the user(s) in business and product conversations and decisions

Present, articulate, and sell ideas and recommendations to asset management and business stakeholders

Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, User Experience Design, Information Science or Computer Science or other related fields

3+ years of end-to-end design experience in the software product space

3+ years experience with User Research methods such as Usability Testing, Concept Testing, User Interviews, Unmoderated Remote Studies, User Surveys, Prototype Testing

2+ years experience leading design workshops and requirements gathering with stakeholders

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Travel up to 15% (While up to 15% travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)

Pervious work examples needed: Examples of User Research Study Plans, Scripts & Findings Reports/Presentations, Workflows and Personas, Wireframes, Interactive Prototypes

Preferred QualificationsContextual Inquiry, Heuristic analysis, Competitive Analysis & Benchmarking etc.

Experience Moderating both In-Person and Remote Study Sessions and synthesize into quality, actionable findings

Ability to build personas & user journeys that demonstrate learnings from research studies. (experience designing workflows and wireframes is a +)

Experience working with UX design teams focused on building business tool products

Organized and able to juggle multiple projects with varied deadlines

Desire to learn and evolve as technology and user trends change

Aware of and attentive to the details, but always cognizant of the bigger picture

Experience working in an agile/lean UX environment a +
