All tasks must be performed in conformance with defined work schedule.Knowledge and practical application of monitoring system design, configuration, pneumatic and electrical interconnections, instrument and component functions.Monitoring instrument operating and calibration principles, instrument internal component locations and function, testing and fault diagnostic procedures.Data acquisition system function and basic operation, including qualitative review of field data, status flags and calibration records.Manual sample collection, proper sample handling, documentation, chain of custody procedures, and protocols for sample shipment to laboratory.Knowledge and application of instrument and task-specific, written Standard Operating Procedures and manufacturer's manuals.Knowledge and application of instrument quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) tests, objectives and acceptance criteria.Perform any other duties assigned by manager(s).Participate in and lead training for career development, safety and maintaining required certifications.Conduct and support client engagement activities to strengthen our relationships with our clients and increase our understanding of their needs.Adhere to Montrose Environmental standards for employment and ethics policies.Adhere to Montrose Environmental employee policies and relevant facility-specific contractor safety and substance abuse policies.Perform all duties with integrity, safety and a professional mentalityPromote a positive and inclusive work/team environmentCommunicate all program deficiencies and improvementsReport all non-conforming workEnsure effective communicationDemonstrate discretion, confidentiality and good judgement when dealing with sensitive company, personnel and client informationFoster collaboration and communicationNECESSARY QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.High School diploma (AAS or higher degree in physical sciences or technology preferred).Possess excellent mechanical and basic math skills.Possess good oral and written communication skills (English language).Proficient in the use of personal computers running Windows OS, including Google and Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, Word).Capability to pass background checks and initial and random drug screeningMust be able to successfully pass a urine, alcohol, and hair drug testValid driver's licenseAbility/willingness to travel locally and use personal vehicle for local travel to work site(s).Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work from heightsMust be very dependable, conscientious and attentive to detail.Will work solo at job site after training completed and proficiency demonstrated.Must have cell phone.Estimated work hours 1015 hours/weekPrefer individual with prior experience operating air sampling equipment.Capable of carrying or moving 60-Lbs. with company-supplied equipment.This position requires the individual to be able to drive a passenger-type motor vehicle or pickup truck or cargo van, walk to the work site from nearby vehicle parking, work outdoors, within small rooms, use common hand tools, climb stairs, lift and carry 60 pounds using company provided equipment, climb and descend ladders.Vaccination against Covid-19 is strongly preferred.
