IT Support Engineer (Ontario)

Responsibilities

Location: 1260 E. Locust Street Ontario, CA 91761 USA

Hours: 7am – 4pm, Monday – Friday

Duration: commencing on June 15th - 15 weeks in duration.

1. Service description

1. Lab assembly and installation, of products listed below into a standardized, customized component of a greater solution. Supporting field organization with the testing and confirmation of the components’ proper operation in its remote location.

1. Individual Technician Responsibilities

1. Each technician will be responsible for completing a minimum of 3 cycles per day plus intermittent testing with the field services operation.

i. Cycle Description

1. Pull the components (roughly 8 units) from staging inventory and take to technician assembly desk

2. Ensure anti-static tools are properly positioned and used

3. Unbox components

4. Record product information on forms

5. Attach Asset Tracking materials to each component

6. Record the Asset Tracking information into the system

7. Follow Assembly and Installation instruction manual process

8. Follow Testing procedure

9. Disassemble the components

10. Rebox the components for shipment

11. Place boxes in the shipping area

ii. Testing support

1. Receive test calls from the field.

2. Synchronize and test with the field technician

3. Record the related information on tracking sheets

4. Sign-off acknowledgement of completion

iii. The contractor will be responsible for providing replacement technicians in the case of primary staff illness or vacation.

Qualifications

Professional Experience (4-5 Years):

Applies knowledge and skills to a wide range of tasks pertaining to Apple or PC hardware, software and Apple / Microsoft operating systems. Also, should have background in training/leading other technicians.

Education:

Technical college degree or comparable, subject area: computer science.

Certifications:

CCNA, A+ and Server+ Certifications; Multiple OEM Certifications including at least 2 Server certifications: Dell Desktop/Laptop, HP Desktop/Laptop/Printer, Lenovo Desktop/Laptop, Lexmark Printer, IBM Printer, Server OS Certification as required (IE: MCP, MCSE, Unix/Linux, Apple Serveretc.) Network+, Server+, MCP, MCSE and ITIL preferred
