To be qualified for this position, you must have a minimum of two years tax experience that you gained within a public accounting firm (or have related experience). A bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is also required. Considering you’re applying to be our next CPA, you will need to show proof that you possess a CPA license and demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles. You must be proficient in corporate, partnership taxation and individual taxation and have experience in the preparation of corporate and individual tax returns, particularly for complex clients. Strong understanding and working knowledge of Quickbooks and Microsoft office will be crucial in this role and if you have experience with Thomson Reuter’s tax and accounting software, that is a major plus!

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required

CPA license required

Minimum of one year, two years preferred, of tax experience gained within a public accounting firm or related experience

Strong understanding of accounting principles

Experience in preparation of business and individual tax returns for complex clients

Proficient in corporate, partnership taxation, and individual taxation

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Client management skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Analytical and problem solving skills

Ability to meet deadlines with accuracy

Capable of managing multiple client engagements in addition to completing tasks related to business development

Highly motivated with an energetic attitude

Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Thomson Reuter’s tax and accounting software including UltraTax is a plus!
