We are rapidly intersecting the present and the future to connect, protect, explore, and inspire - one innovative idea at a time.Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking associate strength (P2) engineers for multiple advanced air vehicle proprietary programs located at our St. Louis site. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for the structural performance and structural integrity of air vehicle components.Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
  • Supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
  • Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
  • Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
  • Works under general supervision.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (ship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position. For Special Program Access requiring ship.Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
  • 1+ years of experience working with aircraft stress analysis/structural analysis
Preferred/Desired Job Skills/Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience using NASTRAN/PATRAN or similar FEM software to perform structural analysis on aircraft or space structures.
  • 1+ years of experience with Military Air Vehicle Platform Structure or Sub-System definition and analysis.
  • 1+ years of experience with design/analysis of metallic and composite structure.
  • Background utilizing classical hand analysis as well as finite element methods and tools
  • Experience collaborating across multi-functional teams
  • Experience with aircraft structural analysis and composite materials.
Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).
