Data and analytics helps makes that happen.As a Business Intelligence Specialist you will implement, monitor and support Business Intelligence platforms. You'll also perform analysis and develop data solutions to help solve real business problems and assist in the implementation of these solutions. As a member of Amica's Corporate Strategy Department you'll focus on using data to support Amica's mission to create peace of mind and build enduring relationships.

Responsibilities:
  • Understand and support the team's long-term strategic objectives through data analysis
  • Conduct ongoing, planned and ad-hoc analysis utilizing a variety of analytics/reporting tools
  • Elicit strategic goals, objectives and success measures to enable analysis and reporting
  • Write SQL of other querying code to extract, manipulate and analyze data
  • As an administrator/architect of Business Intelligence products; will design, develop, maintain, support and enhance Business Intelligence environments
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of data and analytics methods through testing, validation, and adhering to enterprise-wide data standards and best practices
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with vendors, business stakeholders, engineers, analysts and other team members
  • Participate in new technology evaluations and ensure alignment of business unit data and analytics practices with enterprise data processes and practices

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of logical and physical data modeling concepts
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with cloud-based data warehouse platforms (Teradata Vantage, AWS Redshift, Snowflake)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with design, architecture, development, and implementation of MicroStrategy Business Intelligence reporting
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with AWS services (Glue, Lamda, Athena,EC2)
  • Strong sense of curiosity with a proven ability to actively listen, ask relevant questions, and translate the information accurately
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast paced work environment
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical, structured, logical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong planning, organizational and process management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; able to convey information clearly and concisely
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Intermediate knowledge of analytical tools, methods and statistical concepts. Advanced preferred
