Front End Developer creates and manages the design of the web applications using a creative vision and strong understanding of web navigation and information architecture. Creates digital products and services that work across multiple channels, devices, browsers and platforms. Builds accessible, user-centered experiences and solutions that use the latest standards in development practices. They are responsible to ensure the technical delivery intersects with the design to produce a cohesive and consistent user experience. Qualifications

Responsibilities
  • Strong technical communication skills
  • Participate in design sessions and product discussions to provide scalable solutions
  • Work with Product and UX team to assess technical feasibility, identify risks and turn wireframes into fully functional and high availability web applications
  • Adhere to and promote standards and web development best practices
  • Excellent detail-oriented, problem solving skills and the ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, principles and solutions
  • Support existing software products, applications and interfaces as necessary
  • Perform insightful and constructive code reviews to help maintain and teach proper coding techniques and ensure that your fellow developers are considering all pertinent factors to prevent regression defects or the introduction of problematic code

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of experience creating web applications that are cross-browser compatible
  • A portfolio representing a proven history of innovative user interface design and development, knowledge about front-end performance optimization is a plus

  • Experience with Javascript, React and CSS/Styled Components

  • Experience with state management in React including Context and/or Redux

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and how to apply them

  • Experience testing with Jest and/or Enzyme, and Testing Library

  • Experience with GraphQL and Apollo Client

  • Understanding of software engineering principles and problem-solving techniques

  • Experience with Docker, AWS (ECR, ECS, Amplify, and Cognito) is preferred

  • Experience with Storybook and Typescript is preferred

  • Experience with Terraform is a plus.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools
  • Understanding of WordPress, custom themes and plugins and development is a plus
  • Self-motivated and creative thinker
