Position Type : Full time Type Of Hire : Experienced (relevant combo of work and education) Travel Percentage : 1 - 5%Job DescriptionAbout the role:As a Desktop Support Technician, you will maintain a tracking system for usage evaluation and keeps an inventory of all equipment, hardware, software and supplies. Troubleshoots, maintains, and monitors, external and internal hard drives, printers, plotters and scanners. This position will be a Hybrid position in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.About the team:The Managed Services team provides IT and System support to FIS Customers in the financial Services space. This opportunity is joining a strong team supporting a single client for their escalation needs. As the Information Systems Technician you will provide advanced problem-solving support to computer users as well as maintenance and repair for systems and products.What you will be doing:In this senior support level role, you will act independently to determine methods and procedures for new assignments, often a facilitator and team lead for other support level roles.
- Handle problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up for user issues.
- Follow up on the problem tickets to ensure user satisfaction.
- Analyze problem tickets to identify trends to pro-actively resolve those issues.
- Provide primary or secondary support responsibilities for key desktop applications.
- Perform production support and administration tasks as scheduled including but not limited to imaging and patching desktops and laptops, system back-up, software updates, and data loads.
- Assist in the coordination and installation of hardware and software.
- Assist in monitoring network and system health by responding to alerts and escalating appropriately.
- Receive and respond to incoming calls and/or logged tickets regarding PC, hardware and/or software problems.
- Manages Desktop Technician queue to include assigning and prioritizing work assignments.
- Provide documentation as needed to support established goals of the IS department. Configure systems to meet organizational objectives while maintaining defined system, application, and security standards.
- At least 5+ years of technical or production support experience
- Experience with various monitoring tools and ticketing systems
- Client facing production support experience
