The Controller will be a full-time employment opportunity and will be located in the Las Vegas, Nevada region.Key responsibilities
Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals
Flexible in completing tasks beyond formal job responsibilities
Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts
Present monthly financial reports to executive committee and partners
Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual
Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed
Collaborate with executive team and partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operation possible
Review and revise deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations
Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
Requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Adeptness in Prepare Budgets
Monthly Budget experience required
Managing Budgets experience desired
Organizational Policies experience desired
Demonstrated knowledge of Business Initiatives
Budget management experience highly valued
Practical knowledge of forecasting & modeling
Foundational knowledge in Business Decisions
Hands-on experience with budget forecasting
Background working with Microsoft Excel
Adeptness in Business Growth
General familiarity with Business Insights
Manage Budgets experience preferred
Practical knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI)
Prepare Annual Budgets experience highly desired
Demonstrated knowledge of cash forecasting
Previous experience working with Approved Budgets
Good understanding of Annual Operating Budget
Strong familiarity with Operating Budget
Prior experience with Expense Budget
Strong familiarity with Risk Management Policies
Experience with budgeting
Policies & procedures experience required
Earlier work involving Annual Budget
Experience with Business Development
General familiarity with forecasting
Foundational knowledge in Operational Budgets
QuickBooks experience highly preferred
Comprehension of Budget Processes
Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Vow to meet business deadlines
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
CPA/MBA preferred
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
Great attention to detail
Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
