Health Plus Management is currently seeking a Full Time Medical Phone Coordinator for our Cedarhurst location. This position requires someone that is highly organized with outstanding communication skills and strong work ethic. Hours : Monday through Friday 9:00am - 5:00pmResponsibilities:

Liaison between patient(s) and other medical office staff

Verifies insurance

Answers incoming telephone calls for appointment scheduling and appropriately triages calls for clinical staff and physicians.

Scans all registration documentation into EMR

Inputs registration data and insurance information

Explains insurance coverage and payment expectations to patients.

Assists in Obtaining/documenting referral information and notifies patient of # of remaining visits before needing new referral.

Verifies and updates demographics and insurance information of established patients at scheduling

Confirmation review of schedule 24 hours prior to appointments.

Responsible for contacting No Shows and rescheduling patients as needed.

Assists in organizes EMR charts and scans all required chart information that is not electronic.

Obtains records from hospital or other physician’s offices as needed

Completes all other duties as assigned, Accepts new assignments and assists co-workers as needed.

Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent

Computer skills required, especially Excel, Athena knowledge a plus

Minimum of one -two years medical office experience preferred; Orthopedic office experience a +

Ability to multi-task

Must have strong customer service skills
