NumberS58934ContactJustin Kolleda, SpherionPhone3212550222 X208Job DescriptionThe Process Engineer develops and implements process strategies for the manufacture of RF communication equipment (Printed Circuit Boards, Wire Harnesses, and Electro-Mechanical assemblies).Responsibilities:

Designs and procures tooling, fixtures, equipment, and manufacturing processes for new and existing products.

Ensures Manufacturing processes are cost efficient and achieve quality requirements.

Applies Lean Manufacturing principles to create new and improve existing Manufacturing processes (DMAIC, PDCA, FMEA, & SPC).

Deploys best practice principles for process control and product yield.

Develops detailed Assembly/Test Work Instructions, trains assemblers, and performs certification testing.

Reviews performance outcomes, investigates problems, and ensures revisions to documented procedures.

Performs detailed Root Cause analysis; develops and implements resulting corrective action plans.

Establishes performance measures and metrics, analyzes these metrics to identify and implement performance-based improvements.

Supports troubleshooting of Electronic and Electro-Mechanical systems.

Confirms quality of new parts and materials for Manufacturing.

Support customers and New Product Development to ensure compatibility of processing techniques.

Supports Product performance testing and trending analysis.

Works cross departmentally to ensure the resolution of problems and action items as needed.

Creates an organized and efficient work environment through implementation of Lean Manufacturing and 5-S activities.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Basic Microsoft office applications, CAD software, MRP/ERP, and scheduling software.

Good analytical skills, possess critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills, Such as Lean manufacturing principles (5S, 5-why, Kaizen, Just-in-time, problem solving, root cause analysis, etc.).

Usage of basic Electronics tools (digital meters, oscilloscopes, etc.).

Detail-oriented, accurate and organized; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Experience working in an ISO9001 regulated environment.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Confidentiality and time management.

Must be able to perform accurate, repetitive, and steady work with minimal errors.

Able to work overtime as required to support Manufacturing Operations.

Experience in creating/updating LabView test applications is a plus.

Education:BachelorsExperience:4-7 yearsQualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.

4+ years of experience in Electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.

Lean/Six-Sigma Green belt (or higher) certification is preferred.

Experience working in Electronics or Electro-mechanical fabrication, assembly, and /or test environment. Prior experience with RF communication equipment is a plus.

Working knowledge of IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001.
