We are the partner our clients trust to translate their need for adaptive workspaces into reality.Position Overview As a Business Development Manager at Workspace Interiors by Office Depot, you will generate leads within the market you serve, qualifying potential opportunities for both current and future Office Depot clients and closing business that delivers a solution based on the client's vision and needs. You will be responsible for sales volume, margin attainment, and business development goals on a quarterly and annual basis.Responsibilities Lead Generation

Network extensively for leads leveraging business groups, real estate brokers, the A&D community, local community organizations, and local industry organizations and events.

Research for leads through business journals, industry publications, company reports and other internal / external resources.

Follow-up diligently on leads provided through other parts of the Office Depot organization.

Partner with other subject matter experts within Office Depot on joint selling opportunities within targeted accounts.

Sales Process

Qualify the client's needs. Conduct a thorough needs analysis to understand their requirements for workspace products and services.

Prepare and deliver persuasive solutions-based presentations, either virtually or in-person, that align to a customer-centric strategy of either return on investment, money saved, or revenues increased.

Partner with other resources within the organization to develop and deliver detailed, accurate, and professional looking quotes in a timely and professional manner.

Coordinate with other resources within the organization to develop and deliver complex statements of work and/or major bid responses.

Sales Implementation

Ensure that the closed sale can be effectively and efficiently processed by all supporting areas of the Office Depot organization.

Obtain signed sales proposals, terms and conditions, and any other client-facing items necessary to process the sale (including deposits as required).

Stay involved throughout the implementation of the project to ensure that any bottlenecks or changes in scope are identified and resolved, and that all parties are satisfied.

Client Engagement

Establish high levels of respect and trust throughout the client's organization.

Employ a questioning strategy to uncover the client's larger business concerns.

Ensure the client and all relevant third parties receive regular communications on all aspects of their project from concept to post-installation engagement.

Serve as the client advocate for internal processes and services.

Assist in resolving any late receivables or client credit issues.

Goals and Performance

Achieve quarterly and yearly sales, margin, and business development goals as set by the reporting manager.

Maintain a current and accurate pipeline in Salesforce, including all leads and opportunity activities.

Participate in partner-based events and trainings as directed by the reporting manager.

Contract Furniture Management

Maintain a strong working knowledge of partner products to align the client's wants and needs to the correct solution.

Understand industry trends, including solutions for multi-generational workforces.

Proactively seek clarification from clients on important aspects of office environment issues including ergonomics, technology integration, impact of cleaning protocols, and office productivity.

Requirements (Education & Experience)

Bachelor's Degree, or a minimum of four years' related work experience (or an equivalent combination of education and work experience).

Experience working in a similar B2B sales position preferred.

Experience working in contract furniture, interior design, or a related industry preferred.
