Medical CenterSummary DescriptionThe Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center and Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian is actively recruiting a faculty position in Non-Invasive Imaging.The successful applicant will become a full time faculty in the Department of Pediatrics at the academic rank of Assistant Professor in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology and work within the Pediatric Non-Invasive Imaging Laboratory as staff attending.

Candidates must be Board Certified or Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology.The Pediatric Non-Invasive Imaging Laboratory at Columbia University Irving Medical center is one of the largest imaging programs for children with congenital heart disease in the United States, with over 14,000 echocardiograms performed annually. Imaging activities also include fetal cardiology, transesophageal echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance and cardiac computed tomography. Our combined surgical program treats patients with the highest disease complexity.Clinical expertise in pediatric cardiology and advanced training in non-invasive imaging (in the form of a 12-month or fourth year fellowship) at an experienced academic institution is required. A focus on cardiac magnetic resonance imaging and functional assessment both in echocardiography and MRI is preferred.Additional clinical responsibilities will include outpatient and inpatient pediatric cardiology subspecialty care as well as on-call duties. Academic advancement along an investigator, educational and/or applied health care tract is expected and supported. Involvement in clinical research trials for which our center is enrolling is expected as are University and public service activities.Minimum Degree RequiredMedical Degree: MD, DO, MBBSMinimum QualificationsBC/BE General Pediatricians; they must meet the requirements to practice clinical medicine in New York State.Preferred QualificationsFellowship training or the equivalent experience is strongly preferred.Additional InformationRAPS posting date
