POSITION SUMMARYThe Application Analyst’s primary role is to maintain existing custom systems, create new applications where necessary, build and maintain business reports, support licensed business applications and maintain the multiple interfaces that exist among these systems. This position will oversee the entire life cycle of software. Design, create the application, code it and then test the application for functionality and errors as per coding standards established by IT. Ensure the requirements are met, such as function, performance and security. Troubleshoot and modify existing programs to fix or improve performance. Design and maintain databases and applications for GCSI as per directions from the management. Maintain and develop interfaces between multiple Cloud-based subscription systems such as Workday and D365.
Install, test, validate third-party software packages, and integrate them with the company’s computing environment.
Develop and maintain SSRS reports.
Develop physical, normalized, relational database models in MS SQL.
Design, develop and test program functionality for new and existing applications.
Work on both front end and backend programming.
May lead large development projects under the direction of the manager.
Gather product requirements to perform the analysis and development of specifications.
Perform problem determination and resolution in the production environment.
Implement and debug challenging application programming features, both individually and by guiding team members.
Create design, requirement, functional and development documentation for window, web based and cloud based projects.
Stay current on latest technologies and advancements.
Assist in performing technical services necessary to support continuous delivery of service including code reviews, project tracking, database administration, data dictionary generation, development of software utilities and application development procedures.
Take a proactive role in advocating the use of established company and industry standards.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONSRequired Qualifications
Knowledge in computer programming languages
C#, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, TSQL, JSON, XML
Knowledge of working with IDEs and below tools
Visual Studio, SSMS, SSRS, Microsoft Devops, GIT, Visual Studio Code
Writing, creating databases, tables, stored procedures, views
Developing SSRS reports
Significant experience working with MS SQL
6+ years of programming experience OR
Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of programming experience
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of working with
React, Salesforce
Strong understanding of web application servers, network, cloud environments
Strong understanding of web API/REST
Strong understanding of development methodologies, design patterns
Strong skills in Data Analysis, What-if Analysis
Bachelor’s degree with a technical discipline such as Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or Mathematics.
