Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space and Security is seeking an Entry Level Systems Engineer to support development efforts on advanced complex systems on one of multiple proprietary programs in Berkley, MO.Boeing Phantom Works creates the next generation products and services for the Boeing Defense, Space & Security business. We work with proprietary customers in the development of the next-generation technologies in space. Phantom Works focuses on rapid prototyping to demonstrate a host of mission-focused technologies for a variety of customers. Our group works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.The selected engineer will work with senior engineers to define operational concepts, perform functional analysis, perform trade studies, define performance requirements, define interfaces, conduct milestone reviews, and plan and execute verification using modern systems engineering tools throughout the product lifecycle.   • Development & Management: develop, derive, and integrate system requirements to lower levels of the system. Analysis and assess impacts to the system based on requirements changes and 'what-if' analysis.
  • System Architecture: develop, derive, and integrate functional/logical architectures to lower levels of the system.
  • Interface Management: develop Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for external and internal interfaces
  • Verification: verification planning activities - identifying verification methods and verification plans for analysis, inspections, simulations, and test
  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): execute the above in a MBSE tool suite utilizing SysML modeling language to design the system.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R.§120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resi dent, refugee, or asylee. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering, Physics or related technical course of study is required by June 2022.
  • Holds a active security clearance or the ability to obtain post-start.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience or familiar with MBSE tool suite utilizing SysML modeling language to design the system.
  • Experience with spacecraft and/or space systems architecture.
  • Experience in development, build and test of spacecraft.
  • Experience developing test plans, procedures, and scripts.
  • Experience with agile development processes and methods.
  • Experience in a dynamic rapid prototyping environment.
  • Prior history working in a classified environment.
Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).
