FOOD PREPARATION WORKER (Alexandria)

Windows Catering Company is searching for Food Preparation Workers.

Food preparation workers perform routine, repetitive tasks under the direction of cooks, chefs, or food service managers. To help cooks and other kitchen staff, they prepare ingredients for dishes by slicing and dicing vegetables and by making salads and cold food items.

Duties:

Prepare a variety of foods according to supervisors' instructions, following approved procedures.

Package take out foods.

Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed, and provide cooks with needed items.

Wash, peel, and/or cut various foods to prepare for cooking.

Cut, slice, and/or grind meat, poultry, and seafood for prepare for cooking.

Clean work areas and equipment.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Kitchen experience not required, but a plus

Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
