Accounting Specialist (197767-5)Great full-time opportunity on the Windward side! A well-known, local nonprofit organization is looking for an Accounting Specialist to join their team. This role will primarily be responsible for maintaining customer accounts, processing deposits, and generating financial reports. Previous accounts receivable experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain database system and customer accounts for education programs.

Ensure accounts are accurate and current. Maintain communication with field staff and parents regarding account statuses.

Prepare, review, and process deposits. Manage account balances to prevent outstanding debt and collections.

Assist parents with registration over phone, web and in person.

Generate daily, weekly and monthly reports of program data.

Assist the department with other duties as needed.

Qualifications

College degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.

Previous accounts receivable work experience preferred.

Basic knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills. Procare software knowledge a plus.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective communication with exceptional customer service skills.
