Starrett, Tru-Stone Technologies is an industry leading manufacturer of precision granite solutions. We are a 115,000 square foot environmentally controlled manufacturing facility utilized for precision granite, ceramic, carbon fiber and other medium used in precision metrology applications to manufacturer of custom precision granite machine bases and accessories.

We are seeking a full time Saw Machine Operator. We are looking for detail oriented, quality minded candidates to join our team of professionals. This is a full time, 2nd shift position. Must have the ability to train on 1st Shift (7 am to 3 pm), then transition to 2nd Shift (1:30 pm to 11:30 pm).

2nd shift runs 4 -10 hour days. In addition, we offer a 15% 2nd shift differential.

Sign-on bonus - $2,000.00 - $1000 after 6 months and $1000 after 1 year of successful employment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Follow established work procedures, and perform work assignments as required to meet all Starrett Tru-Stone safety, quality and production goals.

Lay out reference lines and machining locations on work, using layout tools and applying knowledge of shop math and layout techniques.

Set and adjust machine controls according to product specifications, utilizing knowledge of machine operation. Select and set cutting speeds, feed rates, depths of cuts, and cutting tools according to machining instructions or knowledge of material properties.

Maneuver large pieces of granite using various tools and equipment.

EDUCATION

High School diploma or equivalent experience

Knowledge and/or experience with saw equipment a plus

At least 6 months manufacturing experience

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Review processing schedules and production orders concerning duty assignments.

Basic knowledge of inspection tools, including their uses and maintenance.

Basic knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications.

The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules.

Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.

The ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged.
