Financial Analyst - Entry Level

This contract / temporary to hire position is for a long-term duration.Key responsibilitiesSupport multiple aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual close process (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, expense analysis, and trend analysis, variance analysis)

Participate in the arrangement of monthly financial reporting and other business data

Reinforce and assess budgets and income statement forecasts

Study veritable results at the corporate and division levels

From time to time be able to illustrate tricky financial subjects to non-financial staff members in special projects

Offer insight in annual budgeting process

Research and query large amounts of data

Back the monitoring and maintaining of internal accounting controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements

Provide support with ensuring adequate controls and procedures

Conceive imaginative alternatives and tips to reduce costs and revamp financial performance of a company

Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits Requirements - Less than one year of experience required

BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

Able to work independently with a minimal amount of oversight

High attention to detail

Loan Products experience required

Computer Data Entry experience

Financial analysis experience

Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Commercial credit experience

Firm understanding of problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

Accomplished computer skills are a must. This includes word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems
