Position requirements: Be entertaining, friendly, personable and professional. Be somewhat fit and athletic.

Roles:

1. Full time, but you won't work all the time. You will be the primary Segway guide. You train guests on how to ride and then conduct the tours. You assign other guides to help for larger tours (more than 6 guests).

2. During busy days, you might have 3-4 tours a day. During average daysit might be 1-2 tours. Many days there are no toursdue to weather or it just being a slow day. Some weeks of the year, you might only have ONE tour the entire week.

3. During the peak periods (about 10 of the 52 weeks) you might need to be onsite 7 days, but some of those days will be for a single tour. Other days, your first tour might be at 1PM. Other days, you might be done at 11:30AM.

You must be physically fit to move the 110 lb Segwaysrolling them. You help guests up and down off their Segway.

You will receive paid training on several tours, become a Segway Certified Guide and then you can conduct tours yourself. Tours can start as early as 9AM and be as late as 7PM in the summer, but those are rare.

This position is not well suited for younger individuals. Guests are paying premium dollars to ride a Segway to be respectfully educated with interesting information on their tour. They appreciate seeing a bit of maturity in their Segway guide.

Compensation is a salary plus an additional fee for each tour, plus incentives. Tips average $6-$8 per guest, but are not guaranteed. Occasionally, you are handed at $100 bill for taking two guests on a 90 minute tour.

Instructions:

1. You must provide a resume of work history with a cover letter that explains why you would be good for this role. This is indeed a test.

2. You must be available all year (other than vacation/sickness). You must be willing to conduct tours during the busy seasons (when it's warm) and schedule vacations/PTO to other times. Realize that your "hours" will never be regular, but then never will you have a desk job for 40 hours a week.

3. You must be able to communicate well verbally, be fit, and be informative and entertaining to guests.

4. You must be heat tolerant. In the summer, it's hot!

In your cover letter, please provide an anticipated compensation expectation. The compensation offered will be based on several factors.
