Facility Maintenance for Self-Storage Store (955 N 1300 W #10)

As a Facility Maintenance worker you will play a key role in performing maintenance and custodial work within our properties. The Facility Maintenance worker is responsible for keeping a clean and safe storage facility by performing a variety of building and equipment maintenance duties including:

Responsibilities and Requirements:

Monitor facility to ensure condition meets company guidelines (i.e. drive aisles, hallways, landscaping, parking and paving, fence, walls, doors, painting) and perform minor and routine maintenance activities throughout the facility (i.e. storage unit turnover, gates, timers, seasonal maintenance) to make certain everything is consistently in working order.

Use equipment safely and according to instruction; including the proper handling and storage of chemicals and cleaners.

Clean vacated units on a timely basis and prepare units for future rentals.

Follow all daily and weekly facility processes in place.

Professional work behavior.

Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.

Performing with measurable numbers.

May require daily travel to and from other facilities for various tasks as directed.

Ability to work approximately 40 hours per week and more if necessary.

Exceptional Attendance.

Qualifications:

Central Storage seeks someone who enjoys Customer interaction and takes pride in the appearance of the facility. We want to provide our Customers with a safe and well-maintained environment.

Five years paid work experience in maintenance.

Education in maintenance or building trade may be substituted for experience on a year by year basis.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to communicate and interact professionally with other staff and customers.

Ability to pass a background test.

Ability to pass a drug test.

Valid state driver's license.

Reliable transportation.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by you to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, you will be frequently required to stand, sit, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, reach, climb or balance on a ladder, and maneuver around physical properties while performing various maintenance and inspection duties. On occasion, you may need to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
