Will ensure that all areas outlined under “Principal Responsibilities” are accomplished in an efficient, professional manner.

Perform quality review of the following records within the Microbiology Laboratory (not to include review required by a Microbiologist).

Accession sheets associated with Microbiology testing

Environmental Monitoring Results

Autoclave records

APOQ / ATOQ test results

Logs associated with Microbiology testing

Interface with Microbiology staff and other applicable personnel to clarify and/or correct the information provided, and to solicit required information.

Perform Freezer Box Audits

Assist in the discarding of microbiological cultures.

Assist in the verification of samples and media associated with microbiological testing.

Understand ISO requirements, GTPs and the Quality System Regulations as they pertain to the Laboratory, i.e., nonconformities, Good Documentation Practices, calibration, equipment maintenance, etc.

Develop systematic methods for completing work assignments to ensure deadlines are met and personal job commitments are accomplished.

Keep self, superiors, and associates informed of significant information, company policies and procedures, and will provide such information in a manner that others give support and willing cooperation.

Other responsibilities as assigned

High school diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree in the Life Sciences or an equivalent field of study preferred

Must be able to maintain a high activity level and be able to effectively manage and prioritize numerous projects and responsibilities

Must be able to grasp verbal and written instructions quickly, have strong mathematical skills, and have the ability to communicate and interface with people at all levels.

Must have personal computer skills, i.e., word processing, spreadsheets, and general data analysis.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen

Must be at least 18 years of age
