The Director, Revenue Cycle Optimization is responsible providing oversight of revenue cycle operations, evaluating areas of potential efficiencies, collection improvement as well as strategic corporate projects for Solis Mammography. This position will be responsible for supporting the implementation of new center openings for all aspects of the revenue cycle. The Director will partner with other business leaders to create the project plans, critical success factors, budgets, and roadmap for those projects, and then leading strategic revenue cycle projects through their life cycles to deliver results to the company, our colleagues, and most importantly, our patients. This role will report to the Sr. Director of Revenue Cycle Management and will work closely with operations in addition to the third-party providers (Change Healthcare, Parallon, existing and future partners) to identify opportunities and implement process improvements to optimize Solis? Revenue Cycle. The Director role will focus on addressing strategic corporate projects that are C-suite sponsored and focus directly on the revenue cycle and the patient financial experience. The oversight of these projects covers the full lifecycle, including establishing the most appropriate accounting treatment of the project, adhering to project approval and governance processes and relentless focus on managing the project budget. The Director will work on a variety of mission-critical projects, so you may be called upon to stretch your core skill sets. The role requires a person who is action and results-oriented, a "take-charge" leader with strong communication skills (written and spoken), leadership, business, and financial acumen, negotiating and business case development skills.RESULTS MEASURED BY THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead critical initiatives including transformational efforts, infrastructure, systems integration and deployment, business process improvements, operational efficiency improvements, etc.

Manage and analyze the metrics of the revenue cycle operations and drive the consistent reporting across the revenue systems.

Analyze accounts receivable and collection data and extract it into meaningful presentations and actions. Identify the issues and action plans to address.

Leads communication with Solis? third-party providers across all revenue cycle functions

Monitors revenue cycle performance metrics to drive continuous improvement efforts in all areas of the revenue cycle providing regular updates to the Sr. Director ? Revenue Cycle Management.

Leads the technology strategies of the revenue cycle in partnership with internal IT and partner technology teams.

Project manage the integration and act as a business partner to our JV hospital systems as it relates to their billing and collections on behalf of the JV.

Lead critical RevCycle initiatives including transformational efforts, infrastructure, systems integration and deployment, business process improvements, operational efficiency improvements, etc.

Manage the revenue cycle Strategic Projects Plans and budget reporting for actual vs. planned performance on a monthly basis to the CFO and other stakeholders as required.

Communicate to all areas of the business, including executives in their terms and desired cadence

Identify issues and risks, advise on mitigation plans, and escalate critical issues

Develop a deeper understanding of the healthcare industry with emphasis on Revenue Cycle best practices

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

A proactive problem solver. Ability to understand and deal effectively with issues and opportunities throughout the Revenue Cycle process.

Ability to understand major objectives or goals and break them down into meaningful action steps.

A change agent and capable of guiding organizational leaders in initiating various change management initiatives with the view of leading and guiding the organization towards the future revenue cycle model.

Superior judgment, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

Strong communication skills in both written, and verbal/presentation.

Extensive knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and general third-party payer - billing and follow-up practices.

Highly organized and with an execution-oriented mindset

Knowledge of applications, technology, and processes used in a healthcare setting, the ability to quickly understand new applications.

Advanced financial and business acumen.

Willingness to continually learn.

Running effective meetings and getting buy-in and participation from executive leaders.

Effectively working diplomatically across teams both internal and external

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor?s degree in Healthcare Management, Business, or related fields is preferred. MBA strongly preferred.

Experience in project management in healthcare or large operational implementations is required.

PMP credential is highly preferred

Willingness to travel (less than 20%)

Competent in MS Office Suite including SharePoint
