What We're Looking For

EMIT Technologies is preparing for the future. Always striving for continuous improvement, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Accounting Team as an Accounts Payable Clerk. The right individual will have experience in accounting and will be responsible for financial, and administrative services in an office environment, posting invoices, and calculating interest and totals, as well as tracking incoming payments and obligations. We are searching for an individual that has excellent communication, research, problem solving, and time management skills. High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.

Primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Vendor account set-up and maintenance
  • Entering and verifying vendor invoices
  • Monitoring due dates and payments
  • Communicating directly with vendors regarding invoice- and payment-related issues
  • Assist with month-end bank reconciliations
  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to build relationships with clients and internal departments

What You Bring to the Table

Required Skills

  • 1-3 years of professional Accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Bachelor’s degree in related field highly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications; advanced Excel skills highly preferred
  • Experience with business software systems (ERP) required; experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with all levels of the organization
  • Continuous improvement mentality – always striving for work simplification and “waste” reduction
