Find your future with us.As we execute on our Infrastructure and Operations 'cloud' strategy, we are looking for an experienced SRE to join our rapidly growing global Cloud Development/Operations Leadership team. You will work with major public clouds, utilizing automation and your technical abilities to design and operate the Boeing Strategy. As a member of the Cloud Technical Leadership Team, you will be laser focused on design, reliability, and scalability of the AWS Cloud platform giving our customers an always-available experience and doing so with an eye towards cost, efficiency, and security.Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a resilient, secure, and efficient cloud-hosted platform to meet established SLAs while supporting the rollout of new software releases and maintenance updates
  • Work on technology from leading cloud providers like Google Cloud Platform, AWS, and Azure understanding and utilizing their unique native services in deployments.
  • Work with container orchestration and configuration management tools. Understand the design, deployment, and management of secure and compliant enterprise servers, network infrastructure, boundary protection, and cloud architectures using Infrastructure-as-Code
  • Engage with members of highly-collaborative cross functional globally distributed teams on troubleshooting issues, providing insights for automation and influencing architectural decisions.
  • Coordinate with Cloud, Engineering team members, and other stakeholders to build, monitor, and maintain a secure cloud-hosted infrastructure via automation in both production and non-production environments
  • Configure and tune cloud-based tools, manage cost, security, and compliance of the Boeing Cloud
  • Design, build, and maintain environment-specific alerts and dashboards via analytics tools such as Data Dog/Google Cloud Monitoring etc.
  • Monitor and resolve site stability and performance issues
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes , lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate may be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)
  • 1+ years of experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and orchestration/automation tools such as Ansible Gitlab
  • 1+ years of experience developing software products in a cloud computing environment such as: Amazon, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, etc.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience)
  • Experience in team building, leading cross-functional teams, motivating and engaging team member, and inspiring work groups through daily interactions
  • Strong experience with IaaS platform capabilities and services (cloud certifications preferred)
  • Experience with System Integration and design principles including service oriented architecture principles and application integration patterns
  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework or Agile Methodologies
  • Experience in team building, leading cross-functional teams, motivating and engaging team member, and inspiring work groups through daily interactions
  • 2+ years of experience in deploying, managing, and operating scalable and fault tolerant Linux/JVM-based infrastructure in Google Cloud Platform/AWS/Azure
Typical Education/Experience
  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.)
