Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is currently seeking a MQ-25 Dev Sec Ops Transition / Advanced Design Software Engineering Technical Lead to join the MQ-25 team located in Hazelwood, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.The selected engineer will be the technical lead for a small team working future capability demonstrations, customer feature evaluations, implementing software productivity improvements, and toolchain upgrades towards the Boeing DevSecOps vision. Candidate will work with other engineering disciplines to architect/scope future MQ-25 system upgrades, oversee trade studies and develop plans for implementation or risk-reduction demonstrations. This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite, about 40% of weekly effort will be on-site in the Hazelwood office.Position Responsibilities:
- Leads activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
- Leads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system.
- Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
- Provides technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activities.
- Leads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics.
- Plans, executes and documents software research and development projects.
- Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.
- Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.
- Works under minimal direction.
- Ability to obtain Secret US Security clearance (Post-Start)
- 3+ years' experience programming in C
- 3+ years of experience in embedded real-time software development in avionics missions
- 3+ years of experience in software development and configuration management (CM) tools
- 1+ years of experience with Continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD)
- Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS)
- Experience with Agile software development
- Experience developing software services using the Boeing AvionX Defense Mission Computing (Phantom Fusion) infrastructure
- Experience with the Atlassian tool chain.
- Experience with prototype development and demonstration planning
- Experience presenting design concepts and trades to customers
