Job Description A Trainer has experience in developing training strategies, determining training methods, and developing training materials for presentation in various media. Must be able to create new training strategies and presentation methods as new media or as new training methodologies become available. Must have experience in creating training plans and materials for large complex IT organizations and missions. A Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering courseware in a variety of modalities, responsible for identifying training needs, facilitating workshops, and providing recommendations for improvement of employees' performance. A Trainer is expected to keep their knowledge up-to-date for the latest tools and trends in the market. Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills are essential to this role.Key Responsibilities (Bullets)

  • Prepare and deliver quality training to customers based on adult learning principles and best practices
  • Meet with business managers to assess needs and performance gaps
  • Design course outlines of instructions
  • Develop course content for web-based training (synchronous and asynchronous)
  • Deliver online training using a variety of tools including online meeting and collaboration applications like Zoom, WebEx, and Microsoft Teams
  • Present/facilitate information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, group discussions, video, or lectures
  • Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees' work behavior
  • Utilize a variety of training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of training programs
  • Make recommendations for improvements which would support better and more efficient training processes
  • Update course content based on evaluation results, policy/process changes, and as business requirements change
  • Provide support to personnel, after training has been completed, in the form of coaching and mentoring
  • Define and communicate training expectations with the end users
  • Provide feedback to leadership regarding the performance and success of trained staff
  • Complete educational workshops and seminars to maintain professional and technical knowledge as well as in-house product certification and release training
  • Coordinate training sessions including scheduling of participants and other related resources
  • Determine individualized and group training programs that address specific business needs
  • Identify and escalate feedback, if needed, to management on any risks and issues related to product adoption, technology, knowledge retention, or customer access to self-learning services
  • Establish and maintain excellent client rapport via phone, online demonstrations, in person and email
Required Qualifications (Bullets)
  • 4 years of relevant experience, 5 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
  • Associates Degree (General Degree)

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Experience in ISD models (e.g. ADDIE, Blooms, Gagne, Merrill)
  • Experience delivering and facilitating online courses in asynchronous and synchronous environments
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, Visio, One Note, Outlook)
  • Able to pass a background check to obtain a VA Public Trust (High-Risk) clearance
Preferred Qualifications (Bullets)
  • Experience working in the Federal Government, Veteran's Administration (VA) experience a plus
  • Experience working in a geographically dispersed project team environment
  • Experience with Interactive Voice Recording technologies
  • Experience with NICE inContact CXone platform
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, Visio, One Note, Outlook)
  • Active VA Public Trust (High-Risk) clearance
