SOA/Web Services Developer to join a team of professionals providing support to complex development, maintenance, test, and production development environments. This role supports a State Department customer who has a large portfolio of new and legacy systems managed in a scaled Agile Framework approach. Role allows for a hybrid remote schedule and would report onsite in the Crystal City, Virginia area a few times per week depending on the team schedule and project activities. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Participates in analysis, design, test and implementation of new and existing systems and next generation IT applications.
  • Provide identification and resolution of problems within existing software and participate in enhancement of existing applications.
  • Develop non-emergency and emergency fixes to system platforms to meet mission priorities and align to security objectives
  • Develop and implement software enhancements and modernization efforts
  • Create self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components
Qualifications

Required Education & Experience
  • Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience;
  • Proficiency in SOA, SOAP (Oracle ESB Preferred) as well as working knowledge of SOA design patterns and integration
  • Experience with Oracle Databases, with Preferred experience in WebLogic, Oracle Service Bus
  • Working knowledge of WSDLs, XSDs, and XML parsing

Preferred Skills
  • Preferred knowledge of microservices architecture (e.g., TSQL, PL/SQL,C# .NET, C, Java, Git, Jenkins, Maven, NPM, Nexus, SonarQube, CLM, TFS, Remedy, NUnit, PowerBuilder, and other CST platforms/languages)
  • Preferred experience using containerization tools (e.g. Docker)

Required Clearance
  • Secret clearance to start work with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.
Target salary range: $150,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
