Find your future with us.Phantom Works is seeking a Systems Engineer in St. Louis, Missouri to join a diverse Systems Engineering & Integration Team (SEIT) on an advanced proprietary program. The program develops several complex and highly integrated systems and is a key part of Boeing's future. This team is paving the way for how future Boeing programs will operate by integrating groundbreaking systems, processes, and tools into product design and lifecycle management. This allows the team to work in an agile framework that enables trade space analysis early in design to ensure our products are the absolute best in class!The person selected for this role will be responsible for building the strategy for and executing the airworthiness and certification for a proprietary PW program. The individual will lead discussions both internally with the various Integrated Product Team Leaders as well as externally with airworthiness and certification focals.Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate customer/operational needs to define and allocate system regulatory/certification requirements
- Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to lead activities to plan, develop, and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
- Conduct airworthiness/certification risk assessments and generate mitigation plans
- A Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 5+ years of systems engineering experience involving system architecture development, including system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, integrated design, analysis, and verification.
- Experience with airworthiness and/or certification efforts
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, such as CAMEO or similar Systems Modeling Language (SysML)-compatible tool for systems architecture and model development.
- Experience with Mission Systems and Weapon System development
