Line Cook

We are looking for experienced line cooks to prepare food for our established restaurant (open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and bar as well as prepare employee meals. In addition, line cook duties will consist of assisting the kitchen team with daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and our business goals.

POSITION INCLUDES (PRIVATE) ROOM AND BOARD

Responsibilities

• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (chopping vegetables, portioning, cutting meat, preparing sauces, etc.)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report and follow management instructions
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Skills

• Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, and prep cook
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
• Familiar with industry’s best practices
• Must be able to lift and assist with product deliveries
• Culinary school diploma a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $1,300.00 - $1,900.00 per month

• Cooks: 1 year (Preferred)
• Restaurant experience: 1 year (Preferred)
